Second Chance Association is a dynamic organisation committed to placing learning at the heart of individual, social and economic development. Our role is to act as brokers, planners and facilitators of learning through a wide range of activities and collaborations, locally, nationally and internationally. The Association undertakes research and development in lifelong learning-related areas through its post-graduate research program, commissioning of papers from leading academics and internal research initiatives.
Each year the Association organises a program of seminars featuring leading thinkers and writers from across Europe, speaking on lifelong learning issues and developments. We acts as an information broker for lifelong learning. It also researches, publishes, and contributes to professional and community newsletters, journals, magazines and other publications. To promote and enhance Bulgaria’s position as a 'State of Learning', the Association liaises with state, national and international organisations. It also develops partnerships with business, industry, government and community organisations. The Association offers a range of consultancy services on all aspects of lifelong learning policy and practice. It assists communities and organisations to assess the effectiveness of learning programs, policies and processes. Staff at the Association present and coordinate seminars on all aspects of lifelong learning. We also facilitate the development of Learning Circles to encourage reflective learning amongst professionals.
